Sasi has 20+ years of experience in financial inclusion, digital finance, and capital markets in more than 20 countries. He currently consults with CGAP and other national and international development organizations on digital transformation, climate finance, and impact investments.
Until recently, he served as the CEO of Sub-K, one of the most innovative and inclusive digital finance entities in India that reached more than 3 million underbanked households. Previously, he was with IFC managing several financial inclusion advisory projects across South Asia region. Prior to that Sasi was based in Washington DC, managing impact investments for MicroVest Capital Management and Habitat for Humanity International across the Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. He serves on several boards, including as the Co-chair of BC Committee of India Fintech Foundation and as a member of the advisory board for Center for Analytical Finance of the Indian School of Business. He has also served on Task Forces for Financial Inclusion under multiple G20 Presidencies.
Sasi has earned two masters’ degrees from Princeton University and the Indian Institute of Forest Management. He has also completed Advanced Development Program from Chicago Booth, SEED Transformation Program from Stanford and Acumen India Fellowship.
